That you don't have to learn how to operate cameras, how to be a makeup artist and all the other stuff you need to learn to make a film. Because you're the director, you can pay people (Hire) to do that for you in the quality that you want. He also tells me that you, as a director, have to be full of vision and creativity to make your idea/vision work.
